Dr Emma Gordon is an IMB Fellow at The University of Queensland, where she studies blood vessel growth during development and disease. Specifically, her research is focused on unravelling the molecular signals that control endothelial cell migration and adhesion within the vessel wall. Emma received her PhD in 2011 from The University of Adelaide under the supervision of Natasha Harvey. She completed three years of postdoctoral studies with Anne Eichmann at Yale University in the USA, followed by another three years of training under Lena Claesson-Welsh at Uppsala University in Sweden. With the support of an ARC DECRA Fellowship, in 2017 Emma relocated to the Institute of Molecular Bioscience to establish her independent research career.
